Discover some Hidden Gems of Wauwatosa
Where to Grab Coffee in Wauwatosa
There’s no better way to wake up in Wauwatosa than with a nice cup of joe.
Whether you prefer yours iced, steaming hot, or straight-up, Wauwatosa has you covered with numerous places to enjoy a cup or two of coffee any time of day (we’re not judging)!
Vendetta Coffee Bar
Vendetta Coffee Bar opened in the Village of Wauwatosa in July 2021 and pays homage to the traditional coffee houses found in cities across Italy.
Traditionally, espresso is ordered at the coffee bar where you stand for a few minutes to drink it, and then go on with your day. Vendetta is bringing this concept to Wauwatosa with a Standing Espresso Bar for customers to enjoy, as well as to-go drinks.
Get the true Italian cafe experience by ordering a shot of espresso “to stand.” Your order will come with a chaser of sparkling water — all for just $1.
Fiddleheads Coffee Roasters
A Milwaukee-area favorite since 1996, Fiddleheads Coffee Roasters hand-picks their green coffee beans so you get the highest quality brew possible with each visit.
Located in MidTown Tosa, Fiddleheads is an excellent spot to work remotely, enjoy their upstairs patio deck, soak in the sun at the downstairs patio deck, or simply grab a cup of coffee before heading out to explore Wauwatosa.
Cafe Blue
Trade-in your big-name coffee brand for Cafe Blue — a local, woman-owned cafe that offers a full line of teas, espresso, and coffee beverages.
This quaint coffee shop in East Tosa packs a punch and doesn’t mess around when it comes to caffeine. Try the Thunderkiss, a 21oz cup filled with five shots of espresso, frothed milk, and your choice of flavored syrup, or the Live Wire, a 21oz cup filled with five shots of deep espresso and the darkest roast coffee of the day.
Need a treat to go with your drink? Check out their Facebook page for daily food specials.
Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.
Filled with charm and old-school flair, Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. is nestled into a historic building on Harwood Ave in the Village of Wauwatosa.
Believed to have been built around 1917, the building was originally a mixed-use residential and commercial property for a hardware store. Now, it’s home to one of our favorite coffee shops in Tosa!
Stop in for a shot of espresso or an assortment of blends from this Milwaukee-owned, small-batch roaster.
Colectivo Coffee (68th St. & Swan Blvd)
Colectivo Coffee has blessed us with not only one Wauwatosa cafe, but two Wauwatosa locations — both complete with spacious outdoor patios.
Located in Wauwatosa’s 68th & Wells district, the 68th St. location offers a pour-over coffee bar and full cafe food and drink menus. If you’re looking for a place to camp out and get some work done away from your hotel, the 68th St. location is the perfect place with its custom indoor fireplace, outdoor fireplace, and six roll-up garage doors for plenty of natural light.
Colectivo’s Swan Blvd location also offers plenty of caffeine and tons of natural light with its large windows reminiscent of the greenhouse that once stood in its place.
Stone Creek Coffee
Stone Creek Coffee is their name, and farm-to-cup coffee is their game.
Since 1993, this unique and lively business has worked directly with farmers in origin countries to bring the highest quality product and countless stories directly to the consumer. With every customer, Stone Creek aims to teach everyone something new along their coffee journey.
You can find their cafe right outside of the Village of Wauwatosa for various coffee beverages and bites from the Stone Creek Bakery.
