We’ve jam-packed a full weekend of where to eat, things to do, and places to stay in Wauwatosa so that you can make the most of your visit.
All you have to do is book the hotel, pack up the car, and be on your way — we’ll see you soon!
Friday
Upon your arrival to our charming city, check into your cozy Tosa-area hotel — all with exceptional service and comfort, you really can’t go wrong with any option.
From the Radisson Hotel Milwaukee West to Residence Inn Milwaukee West (and everything in between!), there are plenty of hotel accommodations to meet your needs during your stay.
As an added bonus, Wauwatosa-area hotels have partnered with local businesses and attractions to give you great deals on your next Tosa getaway.
After you’ve settled in, head on over to The Ruby Tap to get your Friday evening started. Brooke and Sarah, the owners of this women-owned and sister-owned business, want everyone who walks through the door to love and enjoy wine as much as they do.
This adorable spot features wines on tap, self-service wine machines, local Wisconsin beers, cheeses, meats, and desserts.
A trip to Tosa is not complete without dinner at Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993. Their authentic Italian cuisine will transport you abroad while you enjoy La Terrazza, their relaxed, socially distanced outdoor dining experience.
Rated four stars by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel upon opening, this must-try restaurant features handmade pasta and authentic Italian ingredients.
We highly recommend making a reservation in advance to secure a spot at this incredibly popular restaurant.
There’s always room for dessert, and we promise that the sweets from Le Rêve Patisserie & Café are well worth it.
Located across the street from Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993, Le Rêve is a charming bistro that features French cuisine, pastries, and a full bar. Stop in for their variety of macaroons, Raspberry Dacquoise, or Napolean.
Saturday
Start the morning refreshed and ready to take on the day with an outdoor adventure through Hartung Park.
Complete with a stunning stone labyrinth, a playground, and plenty of paved paths, it’s the perfect place to get out and explore Tosa’s great outdoors.
Just a quick 8-minute drive away from Hartung Park, Stock House Brewing Co. is the ideal place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a nice cold craft beer.
Located in our East Tosa district, this neighborhood brewery offers a variety of brews on tap and a spacious outdoor patio — another great way to enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin weather.
Also located in East Tosa, explore our larger-than-life magical murals.
Walk around the neighborhood to find vibrant geometric designs and gigantic animals painted on numerous local businesses throughout the district.
It wouldn’t be a trip to Tosa without taking a photo in front of one of the most picturesque spots in our city — remember to tag us in your photos and mention #DiscoverWauwatosa, too!
From our experience, you’ll definitely be hungry after walking through East Tosa in search of all of the incredible murals. Luckily, there’s quite a variety of restaurants within reach.
We recommend wandering into North Ave Grill to end the day with a hearty dinner. This family-friendly, affordably priced diner serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day so you can find exactly what you’re looking for.
And yes, you can get both the cheese curds and their bacon and avocado breakfast quesadillas all in one sitting — you’ll definitely want to come hungry!
Sunday
Inspired by the multi-generational, family-fun restaurants in Wisconsin’s Northwoods, Buckatabon Tavern and Supper Club is the perfect spot to grab a killer brunch in the heart of Tosa Village.
Their brunch consists of a twist on the classics, like the Ring Bologna Benedict, Goldie Latkes Buffalo Hot Fried Chicken, and Supper Club Nachos.
Plus, it wouldn’t be a Buckatabon brunch without a beverage off of their specialty brunch cocktails menu.
Stop by Mayfair Mall and The Mayfair Collection to satisfy just about all of your shopping needs.
Tosa’s retail hub features countless shops, including Nordstrom, Old Navy, Homegoods, J.Crew Factory, and many more!
Another great Sunday afternoon shopping option is to shop small, local businesses throughout Tosa Village.
Check out The Flower Lady Tosa, Salamander, and Shop Privy (all women-owned businesses!) for everything from women’s clothing and accessories to flowers, plants, and gifts.
